About Me

I was born Mid-September, 1964. I don't remember how old that makes me, I don't care. If it is important to you, then do the math.

I was born to be a fixer of things. At the age of two or three I did my first job on the left front fender of my mom's new Beetle with a ball peen hammer.I think she's still pissed. My Grandad, who is the original fixer of things, gave me my first set of tools when I was seven. I think he was trying to keep me out of his.

I started out working on bicycles and skate boards. I moved up to lawn mowers and motorcycles, some never ran again. A few years later, my friends and I were ditching school to do camshaft and carb swaps. I learned to do body and fender work and to paint. From there my Grandad put me to work, under his close supervision, on farm machinery. I did that for more than 20 years before moving up to Service Manager. I am living proof that you can work your way from the bottom all the way up to the middle. I am back to wrenching now because it is my true calling.

I try to learn something from everyone I work with, even if it's how not to do something.

I love a good drag race. Anything from two kids racing down the street on bicycles to Top Fuel Dragsters. My favorite is run what ya brung, flag start, floor it.
